May 19th sees the European release of his epically scaled auteur project:
An Anthology of all Things. It's a completely unprecedented work, with all the lyrics collected and assembled from people in Bedford through workshops, questionnaires and donations, sung by a fifty-piece local choir assembled for the occasion. Johnny pushes his arranging to new extremes to accommodate this unlikely process, organising the work into 'movements', which group the collected lyrics into themes of childhood heroes, romantic statements, journeys, and names used in songs by other local songwriters. The work is unlike anything else you will hear this year, and in places probably some of the most curiously joyous and uplifting music Johnny has ever written.
